Looking for something to do this weekend with the family?
There is something always going on at Lyman Orchard's. This is a great time to pick apples for all those apple pies. What I want to bring to your attention is that Lyman Orchards' popular corn maze is open. Every year it is a different design. This year the maze is the shape of a ladybug. It opens on opens Saturday (today). Can you imagine what it must look like if you flew over it?
The admission is $9 for age 13 and older and $5 for ages 4 through 12. Admission is free for children 3 and under. A portion of the proceeds benefits the American Cancer Society. Information: 860-349-1793 or www.lymanorchards.com.

Corn mazes are a lot of fun. I didn't realize they were available this early in the year. It would be interesting to know how they keep to their design when they make it. Enjoy your weekend.

Gary, It is raining here right now, and my sons are away for the holiday weekend.. So, I plan on picking them next weekend.
Oh I wish I could see an overhead photo. There must be one somewhere. How else could the create the maze? I followed your link and saw a photo from a previous maze. And did you know there's a $1.00 off coupon there too?
Lisa, I agree an overhead view would be spectacular. I think they take measurements to make sure that the angles and circles are precise, so it looks like a ladybug from above. How else can they do it?
Valerie, I did the corn maze at Lyman's last year with some friends and I had a blast. Only made a couple of wrong turns along the way :)
George.. I hear it gets VERY hot in the mazes...did you need to bring water?
