Valerie I have been on a tour of the White House twice, and I believe that the tour guide mentioned that, but I can't remember, so I am going to guess at 60.

I chose (A 35) because (E 132) does not seem possible to have one bathroom for each room.  And using the process of elimination, B C and D are out.

I'm going with Dee's answer above - okay, I admit, I was thinking 32, but since that's not a choice, I'm going with 35.  I've been to the WH a number of times over the years, thanks to growing up in VA and now living in the DC area, but I never heard how many bathrooms there are!

B is my answer Valerie! Of course, I'd only have 2 if I had to clean them!

Valerie...I'm going with the maximum number of bathrooms, all of Washington is Full of SH&t and the White House is the central pile of the same.

Hi Valerie:

My guess is 35...

60 (and the rest of the options) seems too many....

I like Steve's answer, but I'm thinking A is the actual answer.  60 or more seems too high.

35 is plenty but, knowing how important it is for the VIP to have their privacy I would say 132.

Are wwe talking full bath or all baths together, lol.  It should be 'A' but like Steve says!!!

Valerie, with 132 rooms, there should never be a wait, but as part of the White House is sealed off as a private residence accessibility wold be important. My guess would be either C:60 or D:75, and I would probably lean to C:60. Assuming at least 5-10 for the private residence for obvious reasons then another 10-15 for those areas where there are public bedrooms. (Think Lincoln's room had a private bath?)  that leaves 25-35 for the rest of the place, and as it is the White House, you would not expect to be telling people that they need to walk down 4 corridors and up 2 flights of stair to go.

I would also like to thank you for the Honorable mention on last week's trivia. And I am sorry for making you with the repaired hip, ROFLMAO. I hope you didn't hurt yourself

Hi Valerie,

Sorry I missed you last week. Don't know where the time went!!

Now, this question sounds very familiar. Didn't you ask this once before or was it Buckingham Palace??  Anyway, I know Buckingham Palace has 78 so the Whitehouse must be way less than that. I'll plump for A) 35.

I'm going to go with the SAT strategy of, if you don't know, pick C.  75 seems like a lot, but maybe they're counting outhouses too.

I know there are 28 fireplaces and 5 chefs, thinking about bathrooms?????  I have to guess A 35 - for the era this place was built, it couldn't be 75 or 100+ ... I think 35 makes the most sense.  Not that anything in Washington makes "sense"....

I'm with Ed. I think 60 or 75. I am guessing when they have "state dinners" and with all the staff, they need to be scattered everywhere and in groups of 5-6 male and female.
