These changes have shown us where people are loosing their jobs, have lost homes and have had to file for bankruptcy because these situations. There are people living in tents, shelters and on the streets. Most of these individuals had good jobs and homes, but have fallen on tough times.
No one likes living in these conditions and they are trying to get themselves out of this situation.
Not many people are willing to work with individuals that are in these circumstances, but I have a client that is an exception to this rule. She has a two bedroom condo for rent in Cromwell CT, and is willing to work on a case by case basis.
She has a rental property and I filled her in on a couple that lost their job, had to file bankruptcy and are looking for a place to live.
These prospective tenants have secured good job(s) and are willing to put up 2 months security, along with the first and last months rent. Before they go to view the unit available for rent, they wanted to know if the landlord would entertain them as tenants. I discussed this with the owner, and she is willing to work with them.
These prospective renters were thrilled. We made an appointment to see the property this past Wednesday at 1:00pm. I called to confirm this showing with them earlier in the day, and they said they will "see me there".
Can you tell where this is going???? At 1:30pm, I'm still waiting at the property, they never showed and never called or returned my call to them I placed later that day.
Here you have someone that is willing to work with people that are trying to regain their independence.. and they stab you in the back.
I feel that with the change economy, we all need to work together... but to what point. What are your thoughts?
