Realtor's, do you remember who we work for?
It has been brought to my attention about a dozen times in the last month from people I have met, who are either trying to sell their homes, looking for rentals or looking to buy a home that the realtor they have employeed is not listening to them, or doesn't returns their calls, or talks down to them as if they are better than their clients. This is only a few of the concerns I've heard, there are a lot more issues that were mentioned. Let me remind you, WE WORK FOR THEM... not the other way around.

To all buyers and sellers here is a piece of advice I can not stress enough... take the time to interview prospective Realtors, don't just go with the first one off the bat unless you are obsolutely they meet your criteria of an employee. You are investing not only your money but your time with this individual. Make sure they have your best interest in mind.

One of the first questions I would ask a Realtor in an interview is... "Do you work full-time or part-time"? Are you wondering why this is important? A part-time Realtor, most likely has another job.
So, when you call them see how long it takes for them to return your call... because it might take longer than you'd like, and if you are looking to buy a home, once again, your time is money. Also, if you have a morning/afternoon off to look at property and they are not available due to another position, where is this "quality service".
Another question might be "how familiar are they with the area you wish to purchase in, or have a home to sell in?
I had a call from a Realtor 40 minutes away wanting my expertise on how much a property might rent for in my area, her clients are looking for this information. Though I found this flattering, I informed her that I would be glad to help her clients when her listing runs out.
To all buyers and sellers, make sure the Realtor you hire is there for you.
