Realtors are supposed to represent their clients to the fullest, right? There are some agencies I wonder how they stay in business, let me explain why.
On Friday a client wants to see a rental property on Tuesday morning. I told him this would be fine, and thinking to myself I have plenty of time to schedule this.
After he left the office, I requested a showing via *showing request* on the MLS. I got a response back that the office has received this, but I need to wait to hear back with a confirmation. This is fine. On Saturday, I thought I would follow up since I hadn't hear back and left a message with the front desk. Today, Monday, I check my email and there is an automatic response from the *showing request* stating that the office has not read my message. This is baffling, since it is now 2:30pm.. what have they been doing all day?
I called the listing office again, being a work day (not weekend) I was sure someone would be there to help. Sure enough someone was.. They took my information of the company I work for, my name, the property I wish to see and the date and time I wish to view this. Great, I'm now getting some where... WRONG. After this discussion, I was informed that I need to send an email to the LA to request this showing. What a run around. I do this... I send an email, and I followed up with a call to the LA letting him know I want to view his rental listing, and that I sent him an email requesting this. All of this was 2 hours ago, and still NOTHING.
Now do you want to know what the showing instructions are... LOG AND GO. Can you believe this run around? SHAME ON THEM.
How do I get in to see this rental listing? How can this agency call themselves professionals? These are the realtors/agencies in my opinion that should not be in business.. and leave this to the ones that do their job with proper ethics and are responsible. What do you think?
UPDATE: IT IS NOW 6:46PM EST, AND THERE IS NO EMAIL, OR VOICEMAIL MESSAGE ON MY CELL OR OFFICE THAT THIS APPOINTMENT IS CONFIRMED FOR TOMORROW MORNING. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED.
CONTINUED UPDATE: IT IS NOW 7:40PM EST, AND THERE IS STILL NO EMAIL, OR VOICEMAIL MESSAGE ON MY CELL OR OFFICE THAT THIS APPOINTMENT IS CONFIRMED FOR TOMORROW MORNING. THIS IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY HAVE HAD THIS REQUEST SINCE FRIDAY EVENING.
FINAL UPDATE: I WANTED TO SHOW THIS PROPERTY ON TUESDAY MORNING AT 10:00AM. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE LISTING AGENT AT NOON ON TUESDAY. READY FOR THIS. HE WAS OUT OF TOWN AND DIDN'T HAVE CELL SERVICE. WHAT A LAME EXCUSE. THERE ARE LANDLINES AVAILABLE.. AND IF YOU DON'T GET SERVICE WHY WOULD YOU NOT DO THIS.
