I realize that in todays market it is hard to sell a home, especially if it is not priced right, or is there is a flaw with the home.
But my question and thought is why keep relisting with the same agency/realtor if it hasn't sold. I can understand (sort of) if the realtor you are using is a family member and you don't want to hurt their feelings. But they are not paying your mortgage, taxes (condo fees if applicable). So you might think you are saving money/commission but are you?
I have been watching one listing for the last 2 years (yes, 2 years) and every six months when it expires, they relist with the same agent and agency. Yesterday, it expired again, so I called to offer my services if they wanted a different view point, and maybe a fresh outlook. They were polite, but told me they would be relisting with their current agent. I don't understand. Are we as humans stuck with the thought that "I know what I have, but I dont' know what I will get" thinking?
If you were driving to work, and went through the same intersection everyday and got into an accident, would you keep going that way, or would you try a different route?
