This is the time of year when most of us go out and spend money on gifts.. and then think twice later after we have purchased some items... wondering WHY DID I BUY THIS?
I came up with a solution a few years back that seems to help me.. and I heard that this has worked for others as well.
Instead of bringing cash of small bills... $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00's, bring big bills of $50.00 and $100.00. I will think twice before breaking a hundred for an item that most cost $30.00, where handing over a $20.00 and a $10.00 I probably wouldn't think twice about.
I've mentioned this to friends.. and they have tried it and realize that it works.. so I am just trying to pass along a little wisdom... very little wisdom. LOL.
Also... around the holidays, people (me too) like to burn candles. Most might think that burning candles in glass jars are save, but in actuality they aren't. It has been proven that by the time the candle burns 3/4 of the way down a glass jar, and only leave 1/4 of candle left to burn.. it is possible for the glass to break causing the wax and spread, and your place catch on fire. I was reminded of this the other day.. and I just wanted to pass this along.. I want everyone to have a save and happy Christmas, Hanuka, etc.. whatever holiday you choose, and how you choose to celebrate.
