1/3 Cup olive or vegetable oil
2 Cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
3 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
Fresh Basil leaves, optional (2 tsp dried)
1 Can (28 oz) whole tomatoes
1 Bay leaf
Dash of salt and pepper to taste

In a large sauce pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add galice and sauté for 2 to 3 minutres. Add parsley, basil and onion. Slowly add tomatoes. Stir to break up tomatoes. Add bay leaf, salt and pepper; bring to boil.
Cover and simmer sauceover low heat for about 15 minutes for flavors to blend.
