I'm sitting in bewilderment.. I just got off the phone with a realtor who wants to book a showing for one of my listings. No this is not the confusing part. This realtor (must be a newbie) is showing a listing, as I am writing this. The unit is in the same complex and listed with another agency. The condo he is showing is in another phase of the complex, not built in the same year and doesn't have the same floor plan.
He starts to ask me questions on this unit he is showing. He doesn't know why the thermostat is in the kitchen.. and where does it go to.. what rooms does it work with. There is a panel box on the outside of the building, and wants to know if it is for this unit (THIS ISN'T MY LISTING) that he is showing. I politely informed him his best bet is to call the listing agent.
Now for the bewiderment....This realtor is trying to book a showing for my listing of the condo while he is showing this other one. Not that this would normally bother me, but it requires 24 hour notice, and it states this in the MLS, which he is aware of. The owner is a senior and needs advance notice, so this IS a requirement. You wonder how he knows it is 24 hour notice??? He tried calling to book this showing intially 1 hour before he came to the complex. He realized it needed 24 hour hotice but wanted to get in this afternoon, within the hour. He requested that I call him back if the 24 hour notice is no longer in effect. I NEVER called back... it HASN'T changed. He continues with questions on the unit he is showing, and then asks me why I never called him back with a confirmation to my listing that needs 24 hour notice.
So I am wondering if this realtor is a newbie.. a bad realtor... or a realtor that just doesn't care????
