As we all know postage went up on Monday, May 12, 2008 from .41 to .42 cents for a first class stamp.
I went to the post office today, and the stamps on had on the envelopes had the "Liberty Bell", and the word "FOREVER" on the side. I bought these stamps for .41 cents and figured I needed an additional penny stamp. I WAS WRONG. The stamp that has the Liberty Bell or any stamp that has the word "FOREVER" on it does NOT need additional postage.
So if we as realtors bought stamps at .42 cents and it has the word "FOREVER" on it, we could use these even if the postage should go up again by 2 cents, 5 cents, or more. We would NOT have to buy stamps again.
This came directly from the post office.. so I am taking their word for it.
Thought I'd pass this tidbit along. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY.
