It was a beautiful morning... getting up at 4am to go to Bristol, CT to see the hot-air balloon regatta. Hot air balloons, all different colors and shapes.... 60 in all. This was supposed to be held at the Bristol Eastern High School, in Bristol, CT according to the New York Times, starting at 6am. Unfortunately, when I got to the school there were NO balloons on the premise.
They must have changed the location for there were some already in the air by 6:15am. It was a crystal clear morning.. not too cold, and not much if any wind. They were so close you could hear them as they went overhead.
According to the paper it is being held again this evening at 6pm.. hopefully I can find out exactly where this time they will be. If anyone has updated information, please let me know. Here are some pictures of the balloons from this mornings regatta.
