Recently I did a post on the banks for credit card companies... CREDIT CARD COMPANIES DID *NOT*GET BAILED OUT BY THE GOVERNMENT, AND ARE PASSING IT ON TO THE CONSUMER which made me very upset, and thought I would blog about it.
Last night I was with a group of friends and explained my situation... get this, my scenario isn't the worst one out there. The credit card companies are doing many different things, and this needs to stop. Here is the latest scam I found out.
One of my friends, has a credit card.. say the limit is $15,000. He has a $10,000 balance on it. His interest rate went up too. But that isn't the worst of it. He made a payment last month and brought the balance to say $9,700. The credit card company lowered his credit limit to $10,000. Now he is close to the max of the limit, so his FICO score went down. Now that the FICO score went down, the credit card company increased his interest rate again, because of the poor score.
Can you believe this? Am I the only one that is irrate about what these credit card companies are doing? Are any of you falling prey to these companies too? If so, I'd like to hear about it. Do we not have any recourse?
