This past Monday was Groundhog's Day, and yes Punxsutawney Phil did see his shadow. Still celebrating Groundhog's Day? I'm am, and I'm not Bill Murray who was caught in the movie Groundhog's Day.
Some of the members here might have noticed that I haven't been as active on AR as usual... and this would be correct.. Why? Friends and I have been celebrating this holiday before, during and after February 2nd. Why? Not only is it Groundhog's Day, but it is also my birthday. This year I toasted in my 30th birthday for the 20th time. LOL.
It started out with a trip to Boston when my sister (who flew in from NC) invited me to stay with her for the weekend. We went to the North End of Boston for a great Italian meal, when to my surprise it wasn't just the two of us.. but friends from around the area came and joined us. What a surprise!! It was great to see them. Hats off to my sister for pulling this one off without me finding out.

For the last 2 weeks it has been non stop. I've been celebrating with friends in the area, co-workers and family... Thank you to all of you for making the transition to the next decade bearable.
Would you believe that Kara Casamassina here in ActiveRain knew it was my birthday too.. she sent me this wonderful hat.. and it couldn't have come at a better time. It arrived in the mail at the office the day it started to snow this past week. Thank you.
Today, Saturday, February 7th.. things are falling back into a routine, and I'm in full swing here on AR and at the office. It was said in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life", that "No man (or in this case woman) is a failure who has friends".. and at this time couldn't agree that saying more.
